Jim Gerdeman is a graduate of Kalida High School. His Industrial
Engineering degree from the University of Dayton has built the foundation for a utility player. He
married Mary Jo Mahon and they have three children. Jim is the oldest son of Don and Cecilia
(Osterhage) Gerdeman and grandson of Cornelius and Adelia (Klausing) Gerdeman and Louis and Molly (Meyer) Osterhage.
Jim worked for IBM in Cleveland, Ohio, Detroit Michigan and Boca Raton, Florida. Since leaving IBM
he wrote his first book, Radio Frequency Identification Application 2000. He has handled various
RFID assignments for IBM, Hughes, Raytheon, and ACS and headed up his own company in the Gated Community Security
business. He has written Jimmy, Smoke Signals You Too Can Quit, Your Career Tools
& Stratigic Solutions, Jimmy’s Favorite Christmas Stories, and has others in the works.
